National Sewing Month is September!

Happy National Sewing Month to all of you sewers out there, not just a day but a whole month!  I didn’t realize that September was National Sewing Month, they even have a website dedicated just for that [Link] and their own Facebook page!  They have all sorts contests, downloads, surveys, free projects and links,  It was a fun surprise to find out about National Sewing month, there are a ton of sites dedicate to just that!  Since I am a quilter I am more familiar with National Quilting Month which is March, National Quilting Day 2012 is 17th St. Patty’s day!  They too have their own websites and Facebook pages if you are interested in browsing around.  It’s nice to see such long time traditions as sewing and quilting being recognized!  Happy Sewing to all and to all a good night!

    I am so happy to announce three new patterns to the Toadally Quilts pattern line!

    Pepper Mint Twist © is a 75″ x 95″ quilt that would be a perfect Christmas quilt done in the reds and creams as we did or switch it up and make it for any season or decor!

    Almost done writing the Pepper Mint Twist© quilt pattern below! Next will be to finish quilting…almost there!!!! Can’t wait to show pictures as soon as it finished!  It is 75×95, done in red and white with a candy cane stripe in the sashing.
